Chapter 18
Chapter 18
"How is it today?" asked the princess.
"Your Highness, no one is missing today. Your Majesty means to advance the time of the dinner to the evening and end the banquet as soon as possible, so that the guests can leave first to avoid problems." A waiter answered with a low waist.
The eldest princess thought for a while, her graceful chin drew an arc, and nodded slightly.A shy blush spread across her face, she lowered her eyes and said, "Go and tell His Royal Highness, invite him to come to the lake, and say that you want to discuss the wedding."
The servant saluted and turned away.
When the group walked to the lake, a maid saw the hat that had fallen by the lake, covered her mouth and let out a low cry of panic, and pointed at it tremblingly with the other hand: "His Royal Highness, look quickly... "
Everyone looked over together, a hat fell quietly on the grass, and there was no one around.
It was just an ordinary wide-brimmed top hat, but it aroused the fear of everyone present. They all gasped and remained silent for a long time.
"Sister, this hat belongs to the Duchess of Devonshire who came to the banquet." The little princess boldly walked over and picked up the hat carefully.
The eldest princess looked at it and nodded. She frowned and said, "Don't say anything about this."
"Obviously everyone saw that she came back to the room last night, why did her hat appear here?" The little princess was puzzled and angrily said, "Recently, more and more people have disappeared in the palace. Where exactly is she hiding?" As she spoke, she suddenly remembered something, her almond eyes widened, "I see. I saw someone sneaking out of the prince's bedroom this morning, and that person must be the prisoner who murdered the palace servants."
"The prince's...bedroom?" the eldest princess repeated.
"Although I didn't see his face clearly, no one is allowed to enter the prince's bedroom. The man's figure is very unfamiliar, and his description is suspicious."
"Really? Did you see someone coming out of my room?" A hoarse voice sounded behind them. The prince was wearing a black dress, and the loose blue hair reflected his evil face.
The little princess was startled, and turned around suddenly, her face blushed a little, and she smiled brightly.
The prince's phoenix eyes narrowed slowly, and asked: "Then do you know where he has gone?"
She shook her head, looked at the prince, then glanced at the princess out of the corner of her eye, and said absently, "He disappeared when he came out of your room. I followed him to the garden, and I happened to meet my sister. If I catch him , I threw him into the lake to feed the fish."
The prince squinted his eyes and smiled lightly, seeming to nod in agreement.
The eldest princess told him about the advance of the wedding, the prince rolled his eyes with a smile, and his handsome face showed a childish look of anticipation, and he easily agreed: "Of course, I also hope that the wedding can be held as soon as possible."
The eldest princess blushed, but she didn't see the sister beside her gritted her teeth and looked away.
Zhou Huaijing lay on the tree trunk and almost fell asleep, opened his eyelids, and saw that they were finally leaving.Through the cracks in the leaves, he saw a group of people with their backs to him.
A slender figure casually turned his delicate chin sideways, his eyes seemed to penetrate the branches and leaves, and looked straight at him.Zhou Huaijing was taken aback by surprise, subconsciously turned his head to the side, and touched the leaves beside him.
"What?" The little princess turned her head sharply.
"It's probably some little animal that ran away from home." The prince smiled lightly, pointing his slender index finger at the tear mole at the end of his eye, and said meaningfully.
Seeing the prince facing his direction before leaving, Zhou Huaijing lowered his eyes and smiled, revealing a full mouth of white teeth, shining brightly.A chill ran up his spine, and even his scalp was numb.
The moment he jumped from the tree, the system counted down and told him that the time was coming and he was ejected from the game. Zhou Huaijing was busy rolling, and at the last second he turned into a cat and rolled into the grass.
