Chapter 1979 - 519: Fried Chicken and Inzaghi
Chapter 1979 - 519: Fried Chicken and Inzaghi
Kevin’s Tea, abbreviated as KT team.
This team’s uniform is comparable to an F1 driver’s jacket, covered with sponsor logos.
This must be the only team that starts making money even before competing.
In the early days, the salaries for those LOL players were very low, so naturally, Huang Kaiwen couldn’t let his team be that tough.
Therefore, he got in touch with his sponsors ahead of time.
"What team? Can I invest too?"
Ramos asked.
"Of course, but compared to stocks and such, teams don’t make much money."
Huang Kaiwen replied.
"It doesn’t matter, I quite like League of Legends."
Ramos said with a smile.
"Me too!"
Kaka raised his hand and said.
"Anyone interested in investing is welcome. I believe our team will soon deliver results."
Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.
Once everyone put their money away, a few of them sat in the living room to play games together.
Inzaghi joined in, making a full team of five.
Early on in LOL, full stacks often matched against very high-ranking opponents, especially when the queue was small.
The opposing side was quite unfortunate.
Except for Inzaghi, who didn’t play much, everyone else had decent ranks.
Young Master was on a professional level.
They played a game with a global strategy and had the opponents rage-quit within ten minutes.
Just then, two young Belgian players arrived.
Huang Kaiwen stood up and said, "Stop playing, time to get ready."
"Kevin, here’s a gift from us."
Hazard said with a smile, handing over a bag.
When Huang Kaiwen looked, it was wine.
He handed it to the old butler, then asked the two, "How’s everything going lately?"
"I’m feeling great; everything’s perfect. If possible, I’d like to stay on the team."
Hazard said straightforwardly.
He’s already eager to compete with the big stars for a spot.
"I don’t know."
De Bruyne said softly.
Despite his efforts, he clearly saw the prowess of his teammates.
De Bruyne wasn’t very confident about competing with them.
Huang Kaiwen shook his head.
What De Bruyne needs is a girlfriend.
A girlfriend to cheer him on would be enough.
With that thought, Ramos’ personal issue also remains unresolved.
As his education level rises, so does his standard.
Huang Kaiwen truly doesn’t know whether letting Ramos continue his studies is right or wrong.
"Good day, Kevin!"
van Persie followed the old butler into the room, promptly walking up to Huang Kaiwen to present a gift.
Huang Kaiwen smiled, took it, and saw it was wine again.
He handed it to the old butler.
In Europe, when visiting someone’s home, bringing a bottle of table wine is a safe choice if unsure what to give.
"How are you finding Milan, Robin?"
Huang Kaiwen asked with a smile.
"Not bad, the weather’s much better than London’s. But we’re currently living in a hotel since Buccellato hasn’t found a satisfactory house yet." van Persie replied.
He and his wife have been married since 2004.
His wife is a Monacan, and their relationship has always been strong.
"When you have some time, you can ask Mr. Gagliani; he’s well-connected in Milan."
Huang Kaiwen said.
In front of teammates, he gives Gagliani enough respect, avoiding calling him by his name directly.
"That would be great. If we find a satisfactory house, I’ll bring Buccellato over for a visit next time." van Persie said with a smile.
Hazard glanced at De Bruyne.
This fellow newcomer is really good at making connections.
As teammates gradually arrived, Kevin’s house became lively.
Ambrosini looked at Young Master and asked, "You’re not part of the first team, why do you always hang with us?"
"He will soon have a job too."
Huang Kaiwen said, putting an arm around Young Master’s shoulder, "Christian has shown talent in computer games and has been recruited by a team. He’ll soon become a professional player."
"Really?"
Gattuso raised his glass and stood up, saying, "Though I’m not interested in video games, becoming a professional player is impressive. Congratulations, kid."
Young Master looked up at Huang Kaiwen.
Gattuso simply shoved his glass into Young Master’s hand, saying, "Stop staring; we all drank at your age."
This time, Young Master became the focus of the gathering.
Huang Kaiwen had to intervene, explaining that alcohol is more harmful to esports players than it is to traditional athletes.
They shouldn’t ruin Young Master’s career before it’s even started.
"I didn’t expect Christian to already have a job." A slightly tipsy Ambrosini said while sitting on the stairs, "Every time I see them, I feel old."
"Old man, you’ve been saying things like that for a while now. You know, Paul used to tell me the same thing."
Huang Kaiwen imitated Maldini’s accent, saying, "I’m too old, can’t play anymore. I think I should retire." Then that guy Paul went on to play for another four seasons!
This act made everyone burst into laughter.
Everybody knew Maldini’s tone could never be that comical.
But Huang Kaiwen’s mimicry was just delightful.
Ambrosini, slightly annoyed, waved his hand and shouted, "I’m just complaining, I never intended to play for four more seasons!"
"Even if you wanted to, the team wouldn’t offer you a contract."
Inzaghi said smugly, "Not everyone can get a new two-year contract at 38 like me."
"Maybe it’s the youth team not wanting you to coach, so they begged the manager to offer you a contract to keep you from harming the youngsters!" Gattuso replied.
Inzaghi let out a strange sound and lunged at Gattuso, then Gattuso trapped him under his arm.
"Idiot, let go! You stink!"
