The area outside the photography studio.
Lin An pulled the last plastic bag containing braised eggs from the cardboard box, shoved it into the hand of the young woman from the costume department in front of him, and laughed loudly, "Hahaha! I won!"
This sudden shout startled everyone around.
Those holding braised eggs, those biting into dorayaki, and those squeezing in all stopped abruptly, staring at him blankly.
Lin An slammed the empty cardboard box on the ground, turned around, and raised his chin slightly.
Doraemon is still in the pose of reaching his round hand into the box, where about a quarter of the dorayaki remains.
"Tsk tsk tsk, facts speak louder than words, braised eggs are clearly more popular than dorayaki."
Lin An made a peace sign, his tone filled with undisguised smugness.
Doraemon's round face turned red, his teeth were grinding together, he was furious.
"Alright, alright, it's all delicious."
Deng Jie walked out with a smile, patted Doraemon's head and said, "If this thing of yours had been made just now, it would definitely have been more popular than eggs."
Doraemon nodded repeatedly.
He glanced at Lin An and continued to distribute the remaining dorayaki to the people gathered around him.
Lin An stopped teasing him, looked around, and asked, "Won't this disturb the filming?"
He actually planned to have the crew distribute it discreetly, but this fiery woman said it was fine to just give it to him directly.
Deng Jie waved his hand and said nonchalantly, "Guo Li isn't here, so it's inconvenient to film. We can only shoot some transitional scenes today."
Lin An felt relieved.
"What are you doing?"
Gao Yuanyuan walked up to Lin An, greeted Deng Jie politely, and then glared at Lin An reproachfully: "You didn't even tell me you were coming."
Lin An looked at Gao Yuanyuan and said with a smile, "It's a surprise, so it'll lose its charm if I tell you."
He grinned and said, "I made a bet with Doraemon to see who brings more popular gifts. The loser is responsible for cleaning the room for a month."
"Doraemon?"
Gao Yuanyuan looked puzzled, her gaze passing over Lin An and landing on the round, blue figure behind him.
He was wearing a dark blue cotton coat, a light yellow scarf around his neck, and a woolen hat with a pom-pom on his head, making him look very cute.
Gao Yuanyuan's eyes brightened slightly, and she instinctively wanted to step forward and hug him, but she restrained herself and bowed slightly, saying, "Hello, my name is Gao Yuanyuan."
Doraemon looked up and gave a gentle smile: "Hello, my name is Doraemon, nice to meet you."
Gao Yuanyuan responded with a smile, "Me too."
Her gaze lingered on Doraemon for a second longer before turning to Lin An, teasingly asking, "Why did you come back to Beijing? You didn't come just to visit me on set, did you?"
Lin An shrugged and said, "I'm planning to start a film and television company. The business registration has been completed, and I need to come back to open an account and sign the papers."
Gao Yuanyuan paused for a moment, her tone surprised: "You're starting a company?"
A hint of disappointment flashed in her eyes, whether from being kept in the dark or something else, it was hard to tell.
"yes."
Lin An folded the empty cardboard box in his hand twice and tucked it under his arm: "Having a company makes things easier, and people feel more at ease when discussing business with me."
Actually, it doesn't mean much. These days, film and television companies are basically empty shells. Even if they lose money, there's not much they can recover from their accounts.
No matter what, a company is much better than a sole proprietorship. At least when doing business, you have a proper place to conduct business, and people will look at you with more respect.
Gao Yuanyuan didn't understand these intricacies; she was only worried that Lin An might be being scammed: "Are you driving alone? Or are you partnering with someone?"
Just as Lin An was about to reply, a voice interrupted from behind Gao Yuanyuan.
"Yuanyuan, who is this?"
Zhang Mo had already approached without anyone noticing. He glanced at Lin An, then looked at his stepmother Deng Jie, his brows furrowing almost imperceptibly, his gaze unconsciously shifting away.
Deng Jie saw all of this and sighed inwardly.
The previously lively atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
Gao Yuanyuan knew about the delicate relationship between the "mother and son," so she turned to the side and broke the silence, saying, "This is Lin An, the screenwriter of 'iPartment'."
Zhang Mo said "Oh," a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, and extended his hand to Lin An: "I've heard so much about you, Zhang Mo."
Lin An reached out and shook hands with him.
"You came to visit Yuanyuan on set?" Zhang Mo withdrew his hand.
The tone was quite aggressive... Lin An secretly sized up this "troublemaker," roughly understanding the source of the hostility, and felt bored and helpless: "Yeah, is it convenient?"
Zhang Mo smiled and said, "Is there anything inconvenient about it?"

He turned to the side and gestured "please," leading the group into the studio: "My dad is still doing an interview, it won't finish until about 2 p.m. You can go sit in the rest area first."
"Does he think I'm here to curry favor?" Lin An glanced at Doraemon, who quickly sped up the distribution of dorayaki.
Once the box was empty, Doraemon followed, carrying the cardboard box.
Zhang Mo smiled and said, "Actually, you can just leave it here; someone will come and collect it."
Doraemon shook his head. "Littering is wrong."
Zhang Mo's smile froze; he felt this little dwarf was asking for a beating.
Zhang Mo led the group through the photography studio and headed towards the rest area.
Staff members frequently stopped along the way, their eyes following the round, blue figure, their faces filled with curiosity.
Doraemon felt a little uncomfortable being stared at and subconsciously moved closer to Lin An's side.
"This has given him psychological trauma..." Lin An's lips curled up slightly.
The rest area is located in the southeast corner of the photography studio, separated into a relatively independent space by several movable screens.
Several folding chairs and a long table were pushed together, with a few open scripts, several thermos cups, and a plate of untouched tangerines scattered on the table.
Three people were sitting around the long table.
Zhang Mo turned to the side and introduced them one by one: "This is Teacher Li Chengru, who has starred in many film and television works and has excellent acting skills."
"I know, Guo Xiaosi's nemesis..." Lin An smiled and nodded, "Hello, I'm Lin An."
Li Chengru's gaze lingered on Lin An's face for a moment, his expression unchanging, but he nodded slightly as a greeting.
"Hey! You're Lin An! That's why you look so familiar!"
The only girl among the three had her eyes light up.
"I am Liu Zi, a student from the class of '93 at Beijing Film Academy, so I'm your senior."
Liu Zi stood up with a smile and extended her hand to Lin An: "I've seen you in 'iPartment,' you acted very well."
Lin An looked a little embarrassed, but reached out and shook her hand. "Hello, senior."
He really wanted to know how Gao Yuanyuan managed to stay in this film crew.
Isn't that weird?
"This is..." Zhang Mo continued to introduce.
"I know."
Lin An interrupted first, bowing slightly to the person: "Mr. He Bing from 'The Dream Factory'."
