Chapter 129 Application
Chapter 129 Application
In the computer lab of the Computer Science Department, Song Zisheng frowned, staring at the computer screen with a troubled expression. After a while, he sighed and said to Chen Che:
"Junior brother, I've looked at the application requirements for Alipay's merchant service platform, and it seems our 'whole-hour fries' are far from meeting the requirements."
"Look, the third parties that Alipay is cooperating with now are all big companies and enterprises. Only they have the technical strength to connect with Alibaba. I don't really understand all the protocols, exchanges, handshakes and stuff. Besides the technology, we can't compare with them in terms of scale."
Song Zisheng said honestly.
"Senior brother, look at what you're saying," Chen Che smiled faintly, "Do you think I don't know the situation of the project I personally led?"
"Even if we lack these conditions, we still have to try. If we can get access to Alipay's electronic payment system, the improvement it will bring to us will be huge."
"You just need to make sure our application materials pass the online review. You don't need to worry about anything else. I'll take care of it," Chen Che said to Song Zisheng, sitting down next to him in a very "considerate" manner.
"Junior brother, wouldn't this be considered cheating?" Song Zisheng asked cautiously.
Chen Che patted him on the shoulder and said, "Senior, have you never lied or copied your classmates' homework since you were a child?"
"...Alright." Song Zisheng decided to do as Chen Che requested.
After spending several days, Chen Che copied the business license and prepared documents to send to Song Zisheng.
Finally, Song Zisheng called. The online application materials had been submitted, but he couldn't guarantee whether they would be approved.
"It's alright, thank you, senior brother. Even if it gets rejected, we have to give it a try, right? What if those big companies are blind and approve it for us?" Chen Che said with a smile.
There was no news for several days afterward, until Friday when Chen Che suddenly received a call from an unknown number in Hangzhou.
Chen Che's mind raced. Alibaba's headquarters were in Hangzhou. Could it be that he had really hit the jackpot and passed the online review?
So he quickly answered the phone, and a deep, somewhat androgynous female voice answered: "Hello, is this Mr. Chen Che?"
"Yes, and who are you?" Chen Che asked.
"My name is Fang Si, and I work in Alibaba's strategic investment department," the person introduced themselves.
Chen Che was taken aback. He had never sought investment from Alibaba. How did they find him?
But basic politeness was still necessary, so he continued with a smile and asked, "Hello, Manager Fang, what can I do for you?"
"Here's the thing, Mr. Chen, our colleagues received your application materials for integrating with Alipay, evaluated them, and submitted them to us. We have some investment intentions. I wonder if you have time to come to Hangzhou? We can discuss this matter in person."
Chen Che's eyes lit up. What was originally just an online application to connect to Alipay had unexpectedly brought him an investment opportunity.
However, this is a crucial time for business expansion within the audit academy, and there are just too many trivial matters to handle...
But Chen Che could still tell which matter was more important, and immediately agreed: "Okay, when?"
"Once you arrive, feel free to contact me anytime," Fang Si said on the phone.
"Okay, I'll be there tomorrow." Chen Che thought for a moment. Tomorrow is Saturday, and he'll try to get things done over the weekend.
"Okay, we look forward to your arrival, Mr. Chen."
After hanging up the phone, I still needed to explain some things about school.
When Chen Sui arrived at the incubator, Chen Che approached her with a smile and asked, "Class monitor, I need your help with something, is it convenient for you?"
Chen Sui was used to teasing him, so she glanced at him and chuckled, "Then it's inconvenient."
"I really have something to do."
"What is it?"
"I'm going to Hangzhou in the next couple of days," Chen Che said.
"Hmm? Are you planning to abscond with the money and flee to Hangzhou? That's too close. You'll be caught right away. Besides, although our platform's cash flow is manageable, we don't have much spare cash. Should we wait a bit before running away?" Chen Sui still didn't take it seriously and continued staring at the Excel spreadsheet.
"Alibaba called me, offering an investment opportunity that I'd like to discuss in person," Chen Che said earnestly, looking at Chen Sui.
"Huh?" Now Chen Sui knew Chen Che was talking about serious matters, so she stopped joking and looked pleasantly surprised: "Really? This is great news! Investment opportunities from a big company like Alibaba are not something everyone gets to experience, let alone university student startups that are still in the incubation stage."
"Yes," Chen Che nodded, "So I'll have to trouble you these next two days. I'll have to trouble you to handle everything."
"Huh?" Chen Sui was not calm. Although she had already helped him with a lot of things, she had always consulted him before doing it for him.
This is the first time she's been asked to make a decision independently.
"Can I... do it?" Chen Sui asked nervously, her hand clenching into a small fist.
"What's wrong with that?" Chen Che said with a relaxed smile. "I trust you, and you've handled a lot of things for me, haven't you? It's just that I haven't been by your side these past two days. You know what's going on in your heart."
Hearing Chen Che's encouragement, Chen Sui nodded and gave a soft "hmm". Before she could say anything, she heard Chen Che say again, "At worst, you might accidentally sign something carelessly and our project will fall through."
Chen Sui was both amused and annoyed, and said helplessly, "Do you trust me or not?"
"Of course I'm not worried," Chen Che said with a smile. "What I mean is, if the project really fails one day, we can just work together to make a comeback."
Chen Sui was touched when she heard this, but upon further reflection, she realized something was off: "So, if I manage things for two days, I can really ruin your project?"
Just as he was about to raise his fist to punch him, Chen Che said seriously, "Anyway, I'm counting on you for the next two days, class monitor."
"If all else fails, you can call me, but I don't really want you to call me, you know what I mean?"
"Mm." Chen Sui nodded. Chen Che hoped that she could become a person who could stand on her own, and she was ready to be that kind of person.
The next day, Chen Che took a taxi to the station, boarded the high-speed train to Hangzhou on time, set his alarm, cleared his mind, and closed his eyes to rest.
Now I'm a small business owner who needs to go to Hangzhou to discuss investment cooperation, and I have to take the high-speed rail to keep the appointment.
When will I be able to sit in the back of a Rolls-Royce, put my feet up, yawn while looking at the starry sky ceiling, smell the luxurious fragrance in the car, and naturally fall asleep?
Upon arrival at their destination, a female secretary dressed in black stockings gently and softly woke him up in her ear: "Chairman Chen, we've arrived."
I hope I can reach that level in this lifetime.
When I woke up again, we were already in Hangzhou. The middle-aged man next to me nudged me awake: "Young man, move aside, I'm getting off the train."
"Oh, sorry, I'll log off too."
