Chapter 1493: I Hope Mr. Trevino Will Approve
"Hello, Ms. Camille," the Dalton Group’s receptionist greeted with respect, "Please have a seat. Mr. Trevino will be here soon. Here’s your favorite jasmine tea.""Just leave it there." The woman sat down on the curved sofa, taking the lead, carefully adjusting her outfit with particular attention to appearance.
She wanted to present herself in the most beautiful way before Trevor.
The receptionist poured a cup of jasmine tea and handed it to her with both hands, "Enjoy."
"When is Mr. Trevino coming?" Her Chinese was quite fluent. With chestnut wavy hair, she wasn’t impatient; she was just a bit eager to see him.
The receptionist smiled and respectfully replied, "Mr. Trevino will be here at three, as scheduled. Please be patient."
Camille raised her eyes to look at him, "Then you may leave now."
"Yes." The man bowed and then turned to leave.
Camille occasionally glanced at her watch, filled with anticipation and waiting.
Upstairs, in the CEO’s office with traditional Chinese decor, the wall clock pointed to 2:45. There were still fifteen minutes until the scheduled meeting.
Simon came in with a stack of documents and saw Trevor still sitting at the desk, he paused, "Mr. Trevino, why aren’t you going down?"
"Waiting for you." Trevor spoke softly, his eyes falling on him.
Waiting for him??
Simon was stunned, was there a situation? He couldn’t help but feel a bit tense.
He quickly put down the documents and reported, "Mr. Trevino, I arranged jasmine tea for Ms. Camille, and sprayed some jasmine fragrance in the reception room."
Trevor’s eyes subtly changed, "..." displeasedly staring at him.
Simon approached the CEO’s desk, facing that gaze, his chest slightly tightened, did he overstep his bounds?
"Remember, in the future, don’t have any special arrangements for her." Trevor said calmly. Since everything was already set, he didn’t blame too much but made it clear not to happen again.
"Understood." Although Simon didn’t understand, he remembered it.
In his memory, this businesswoman was difficult to handle. Back when Mr. Trevino was President Dalton’s assistant, he used this approach of catering to Camille’s preferences to help with sealing a significant deal.
However, Simon didn’t know that Camille continued to pester Trevor for quite some time afterward.
Time ticked by, second by second.
Trevor didn’t seem in a rush to go downstairs, his gaze still fixed on Simon’s face, "Have you ever been in love?"
Simon almost thought he misheard!
Why ask such a question? Was the office romance discovered? But... the Dalton Group doesn’t prohibit office romances.
Could it be that Mr. Trevino implemented new rules upon taking office?
Just as Simon was unsure how to respond, Trevor had already been scrutinizing him for two minutes, "What? Is this hard to answer?"
"I..." Simon, feeling helpless, decided it was better to confess early since it would eventually be discovered, "Mr. Trevino, I’m indeed in a relationship with Cecilia Dunn."
In Trevor’s dark eyes, a hint of surprise lingered.
Simon immediately promised, "But rest assured! I swear we will absolutely not let it affect our work! We will also be particularly mindful of our image in the company! Please, Mr. Trevino, grant us your blessing!!"
Trevor stared at him unblinking, nodded, "Don’t be so nervous, I would never break up a couple. Going against Cupid’s way could easily keep me single too."
